Ready for a revolution? WIGlet gathering this Friday

Greetings all,

Our first in-person gathering will be this Friday, July 14 (aka Bastille Day), 8:30 a.m. at CRL.

Here's a draft of the agenda and a few preliminary readings. What other topics would you like to add to the agenda? If you have specific questions, please post those, too.

Draft agenda: What are we doing and why are we doing it?
Introductions
JoCoWeb World Plan
The role of the Web Content Team and the Web Interest Group
Next steps

Posts to set the mood:
The User Is Not Broken: A meme masquerading as a manifesto (From Free Range Librarian)

Don't give in to feature demands (From Creating Passionate Users)

Coming events:
Michael Stephens (aka author of Tame the Web) will be the featured speaker at this year's NEKLS Tech Day, Thursday August 10 at Washburn Univ. in Topeka. I'm sure Chris will be sending info out as the day approaches, but here's your official heads up if you want to save the date.
