my take on the scope

I believe it was Chris who pointed out that we should have our ages for the webpages correspond with the ages we target for programming and such. I completely agree. Teens should be defined as 12-18 yr. olds. Kids--birth to age 12.

It seems the younger audience was not addressed in the scope. It is highly important to include the content for that age group even though they may not be using the computer. Well, the under 3 crowd might not be using the computer, but certainly kids older than that do. Even so, parents and caregivers will be interested in topics and subjects relating to that age group.

My only other comment is about having a special place for "Ask A Librarian". Couldn't that be included in the services tab? It's not as novel as when it first began. Most other libraries offer this as a service.
