Answers to: Please select three Web pages on JoCoLibrary.org that you use often or to which you regularly direct patrons. Please include the page title, URL and any comments.

Series and Sequels (Under Readers’ Corner > Readers’ Resources)
http://www.jocolibrary.com/index.asp?DisplayPageID=359

Calendar
I use the Calendar page - 871 - as the program manager, I am constantly checking this

Catalog (4 votes)
This is pretty self-explanatory. We have to have this one.
It would be nice if it was more visible from the main jocolibrary.org site.

Online Databases (2 votes)
http://www.jocolibrary.org/index.asp?DisplayPageID=931
This is a frequent jumping-off point. From here, I show patrons our online newspaper/magazine databases, Valueline, ReferenceUSA, Geneology, etc.

FirstSearch / Worldcat.
Not technically a library webpage, but invaluable.

Classes and Events (2 votes)
http://www.jocolibrary.org/index.asp?DisplayPageID=770
Usually to show patrons the variety of classes we offer at the library and how to get a copy of the handy dandy booklet.

Books, Music, Magazines & More
http://www.jocolibrary.org/index.asp?DisplayPageID=908
This is the "Books, Music, Magazines & More" link, which leads directly into our online catalog. I like to tell patrons how they can look up books from their home and even how to place books on hold. It saves people time. My wife, who's been a library patron forever, never knew about it until I showed her. (Only problem is that I'm the one who has to bring all of them home for her!)

Home page (2 votes)

US Government Departments
(Kids > Facts and Learning>People, Cultures and Countries>The United States)
http://www.jocolibrary.org/index.asp?DisplayPageID=656
This is a kids' page that really needs its profile boosted-- v. helpful and fun!

Interlibrary Loan (3 votes)
http://www.jocolibrary.com/index.asp?DisplayPageID=156
But this page should be accessible from more places on the website than just the home page (Yes, I know it’s on the catalog, too)

Audiobooks

Library Branches & Locations (2 votes)
http://www.jocolibrary.org/index.asp?DisplayPageID=293
Not enough people go to it, but when people express puzzlement along the lines of 'I never knew you had a branch in Spring Hill' or 'Why aren't you open on Sundays?' I always mention that the list of libraries and hours are listed online.

JCL Computer Training (2 votes)
http://www.jocolibrary.org/index.asp?DisplayPageID=1461
My VIPs and myself use these to point to the computer classes available, snag the practice word document, and tell patrons they don't have to wait for a class, they can walk through the training packets themselves.

Search & Research (2 votes)
http://www.jocolibrary.org/index.asp?DisplayPageID=1237
This is the "Search & Research" section that lists what databases are available to patrons. This page is a good catch-all, so patrons can scan the list and choose for themseves what they might need.

Jocobusiness
http://www.jocolibrary.org/?displaypageid=453

Kids’ Corner
http://www.jocolibrary.org/index.asp?DisplayPageID=1164

Organization and Contacts
http://www.jocolibrary.org/index.asp?DisplayPageID=158
This page is totally hidden away at the bottom of the website but it has all the relevant contact info that I point people to regularly.

Search Engines and Subject Directories
http://www.jocolibrary.org/index.asp?DisplayPageID=62
For when patrons say I want to search the web but I don't want to bias them into one site over the other.

JCL foundation (due to the upcoming benefit)
http://www.jocolibraryfoundation.org/

Homework Help
http://www.jocolibrary.org/index.asp?DisplayPageID=1951

Teens
http://www.jocolibrary.org/index.asp?DisplayPageID=791
This page always has info on the latest happenings for teens at the library. I point teachers and students here frequently.
